If you are interested in participating in RACES, or finding out more about the vital link that amateur radio provides in an emergency, please contact Bill Dickerson, WA2JOC, the RACES coordinator for Montour County.

Montour County EMA sponsors a two meter repeater for RACES on 145.290.  It is an open repeater and we encourage any amateur radio operator to use it for normal amateur activities except during an actual emergency.


In addition to a valid Amateur Radio License, RACES participants shall have successfully completed the following NIMS courses:
IS-100
IS-700
